Robert Dent is a 29 year law enforcement
veteran and honorably retired from the Oregon State Police. He served
in the Patrol, Criminal and Narcotic divisions.

corporation that conducts training seminars and publishes language and
communication training manuals, videos and educational materials for
public safety and educational facilities, as well as private companies
and corporations involved with executive protection, counter-terrorism
and industrial security.

of the Constable Public Safety Memorial Foundation, a I.R.S. 501 (c)(3) non
profit, tax exempt charitable organization that assist children
and families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.

Bob Dent is the recipient of the "Ed Nowicki Lifetime Achievement
Award" from the American Society for Law
Enforcement Training. The
award recognizes and honors individuals with leadership and
motivational skills who have dedicated their lives to law enforcement
training and who have had a significant and positive impact on our nations
Law Enforcement Community. Mr. Dent was selected from a
field of 7000 trainers in 38 countries and is only the third
recipient to receive this prestigious award.

2000. "On behalf of all the survivors across the
country that comprise our membership and the survivors whose
lives your work has touched and will touch, congratulations on
your nomination," said Director Sawyer.

At the invitation of Dave Smith
(Director of Training at L.E.T.N. in Dallas, Texas) Mr. Dent
appeared on "Command Update" to announce the formation
of the foundation and the mourning band fund raising project.
The program was viewed in the U.S., Slovakia, Italy, Japan, Canada,
Mexico, and U.S. Military bases around the world.
Mr. Dent has donated over $40,000 worth of his officer safety manuals and training videos
to the Law Enforcement Television Network. The materials were delivered to small police agencies across the
U.S.
NOTE: Jeanne Canfield, Oregon State Chairperson
for the Mothers Against Drunk Driving, purchased 100 Spanish
field reference manuals, (and audio / video tapes) for small
police agencies in the state of Oregon. Mrs. Canfield and
the Executive Board of Oregon, MADD, felt the materials would
assist the officers in the field communicate more effectively
with Spanish speaking persons, while enhancing safety. Through
MADD's support and generosity, the materials were distributed
free of charge.
